Baran is one of the pioneering construction groups in Mashhad, offering hotel services within residential buildings. The hospitality environment of Mashhad seamlessly blends with the concept of service. After gaining professional engineering and construction experience in Tehran—establishing Mika Construction Group’s engineering setup—I viewed buildings from a different perspective, intertwined with the concept of service, understanding industry challenges, and seeking innovative solutions to their shortcomings. ...
Given that Baran’s projects are primarily focused in Mashhad, I also explored the construction industry landscape in other cities, identifying strengths and weaknesses, which enriched this experience.
Context and Challenges:
Upon my entry into Baran, the company’s engineering and construction management environment was turbulent, demanding quick, well-judged decisions to better manage stakeholders—especially buyers of Baran 3, who expressed dissatisfaction regarding the delivery timelines. This crisis situation necessitated a transformative approach, leading to significant improvements in the delivery of units in Baran 3 and optimized execution of Baran 4 projects.
Key Roles and Contributions:
This experience reinforced my leadership in managing complex projects amidst crises and refining organizational processes for sustainable growth.

Transitioned from industrial projects to innovative building construction. Throughout my tenure at large, bureaucratic companies like MG and Kayson, I gained extensive experience and navigated complex organizational protocols for major projects—including Pardis housing, the Qom-Garmsar Expressway, Shiraz Metro Line 2, and Bajouli-Holi Dam and Power Plant. ...
Driven by a vision to establish a new, agile construction team within a wholly private environment, I founded Mika Group’s Engineering and Construction Department. The journey was extraordinary—creating a flexible, modern organizational structure that rapidly expanded from three initial members and no ongoing projects to sixty engineers and 150,000 square meters of active construction within just five years.
This remarkable achievement was fueled by camaraderie, shared learning, and innovation, despite challenges in defining clear strategic connections, managing interests, and overcoming setbacks. Mika symbolizes a milestone in my professional life, embodying self-confidence and transformative leadership.
Key Responsibilities and Projects:
This period marked a transformative phase in my career—building a successful, self-reliant organization characterized by innovation, agility, and resilience.

Large organizations with bureaucratic structures serve as academic environments where talented individuals must immerse themselves in knowledge and use this experience as a bridge to reach their professional goals. The complexity and scale of projects I encountered in this company were extraordinary. Due to the company's extensive background in advising on major government projects, securing contracts for such projects was relatively easier. ...
However, previous years saw a shortage of qualified personnel, with many skilled professionals emigrating. When I joined the company, this gap between ongoing projects and required expertise presented a unique opportunity. I was entrusted with leading the engineering for the Qom-Garmsar. From the project's inception to its inauguration by the then-President within two years, this responsibility provided invaluable experience in technical knowledge, project management, organization, interagency coordination, and high-level project leadership.
Roles and Key Projects:

Kayson Company: Optimization of Mass Housing Construction (2011-2013), University Engineering and Optimization Representative Kayson, one of the largest companies active in mass housing development, successfully completed over 10,000 residential units in Kermanshah using the in-situ monolithic concrete method. At that time, approximately 16,000 units were under construction in the Pardis New Town. The same method was also used to complete over 10,000 residential units in Venezuela. ...
Given the competitive nature of this market and the need for innovative economic approaches in the industry, Kayson sought to reassess and comprehensively optimize the cost-effectiveness, quality, environmental impact, and detailed execution methods of their construction processes. To ensure higher technical efficiency and lower total costs, the company contracted the University of Tehran to study and optimize their execution methods.
This project coincided with the beginning of my doctoral studies in Construction Engineering and Management, leading to my leadership of the project within an academic and research-oriented environment—an uncommon and valuable experience bridging theoretical research with practical application.
Assigned Project:
Optimization of mass housing construction methods – case study of the 20,000-unit Pardis project.
Role: University Engineering and Optimization Representative.

Between 2008 and 2011, roughly during my fifth semester of my bachelor's degree until the end of my master's studies, I concurrently pursued professional work in structural design and later in civil engineering software programming. During this period, I worked in three companies, each for a little over a year: ...
Throughout this time, I applied a wide range of knowledge gained from university in real-world projects, familiarizing myself with a diverse and extensive industrial environment, which proved beneficial for my future career.
